Released from the Jeanneau chains in 2012, this Jeanneau Yachts 53 embodies the vision of the French shipyard for the great habitable cruiser: a 15.73 m unit designed for offshore sailing with a reduced crew, with a level of equipment rarely combined in this segment. Construction and marine qualities

Polyester hull, 15.73 m long and 4.77 m wide and 2.28 m of draft, 14,935 kg of displacement: the volumes and inertia are those of a real travel boat. The decks and cockpit are teak. The sail plan is based on a North Sails wardrobe with mainsail on the winder and genoa Dyneema, completed with a gennaker on a store, a staysail on a release, a toes-out and a spinnaker rig. Mainsail rail and carriage, pataras, halyard and winch cranks complete the fittings. Copper Coat Antifouling was applied in 2022.

Motorization and autonomy

The Yanmar 4JH4 TE of 110 HP, 4-cylinder diesel on shaft line, totals 1,600 hours. It provides 7 cruising knots for 7 l/h and 11 peak knots. With 480 liters of fuel and 720 liters of water, the 6 kVA (450 h) Onan generator set, two 305 W solar panels and the 12V, 24V and 220V circuits, the range is up to the far programs. Inside, 2 cabins and 6 beds, 8 people on board, full kitchen, hot water and laundry.
