description

The Maya Zen Ketch is a very beautiful offshore sailing unit whose hull was built in steel in 1983 by the "Chantiers Navals de Biot" shipyard on the plans of the naval architect François Charpentier, who are famous for having designed the series of Trireme sailboats, including different models from 43 to 60 feet.

It is a boat designed for comfort in navigation and habitability at stopovers and whose solidity is manifest. The triple chores hull is made of steel sheets welded on T-slots. The thickness of the sheets is 3mm for the bridge, 4mm for the upper chord, 5 for the intermediate chore and 6mm for the bottom chore.

The hollow keel is filled with lead in the lower part and acts as a diesel tank above.

The hull and deck were the subject from the outset of an interior and exterior SA3 sanding followed by the international protective treatment cycle based on epoxy paint.

The fittings are particularly well arranged for navigation with open common areas, independent private parts, table à carte, accessible kitchen, and passages allowing easy circulation. LEFLEJOINS AND VARNISHES AND THE PLANTERS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.

You have understood it The Maya Zen is a very beautiful unit which is well equipped for navigation and whose strengths are the robustness as well as the habitability and the quality of the fittings, in particular the joinery. This boat is part of a long-distance journey in complete autonomy. As a result, these more "navy" style units than "pleasure" are little affected by fashion effects and are therefore less prone to discounts.

The reliability of the construction by the "site" site Naval de Biot" and the protection treatment of the metal structure carried out by the original owner are of a quality rarely encountered on units of the same type.
