Dufour Yachts 525 GL - The large large, high-comfort version

Signed Dufour Yachts, this 2006 525 GL embodies the philosophy of the French shipyard: an offshore cruise ship capable of chaining miles without giving up the comfort of life on board. With its 15.30 m in length, three cabins and seven beds, it is aimed at family crews or long-distance navigation programs. Offered at €199,000 including tax.

Construction and marine qualities

Polyester shell and teak deck, for a robust and well-born unit. The 525 GL measures 15.30 m long and 4.90 m wide and 2.00 m of draft, with a displacement of 18 tons which ensures a healthy and reassuring behavior at the sea. The rig is served by a slatted mainsail on a reel, a 2020 Elvstrom Genoa, a spinnaker with its sock and a staysail. The boom was equipped with Lazy Jacks and a Lazy Bag in 2024. Mainsail rail and carriage, pataras, halyard and winch cranks complete the fittings.

Motorization and autonomy

The boat is powered by a 75 hp, four-cylinder, seawater-cooled Volvo D2-75, installed in 2022 and totaling 1,980 hours. The cruising speed is 7 knots for a consumption of 2 l/h, with 400 liters of diesel and 800 liters of fresh water in reserve: a range for long crossings. On board, energy is provided by a 2023 6 kVA Panda Generator (415 hours), 1,200 W of solar panels, a wind turbine, service batteries and Victron chargers from 2025.
